Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 1:11PM Nest enlisted carefully selected pieces by abstract contemporary South Coast artist Lorna Crane to settle the ambiance of an otherwise monochromatic penthouse suite with views of the Brindabellas.
While nestdesign styled the space, large scale canvases inspired by a residency in Berlin were welcomed for their injection of colour, texture and interest to complete the transformation.
Friday, February 11, 2011 at 11:29AM Nest pottered up to Sydney last week to view the latest & greatest local and international design.
While many expos can hit & miss, Decoration & Design 2011 was certainly worth the time on the Hume.
Favourites included the stunning rugs by Armadillo & Co and Collect Home’s woven baskets and glass vessels. Also attended was a forecasting seminar which was relevant moreso to retailers, however discussions were had about colour and the like, and this was embraced with gusto! Delectable and brave, these colour palettes will delight! Noted were neutrals with a splashes of the unexpected, deep terracotta and bronze with peaches (hello early 90’s) as well as the softest gelato pastels ever seen.

Chilli is a miniature short haired Dachshund puppy with loads of personality who is sure to win you over with her charms. The team have grand hopes for her future and believe she will make a fabulous (if not distracting) contribution to the workplace.

Enlisting Nest’s services, the client’s brief was simple: “make our house a home”. There was a lot to work with given the house's strong architectural features and the snapshot views rivaling all other properties in the area. Nest injected warmth & personality featuring organic accents with a nod to mother nature. Pictured is the concept stage of Nest’s design development.

...with the intention of creating the look for a furniture rental job. Translating a trail of ideas and notes on scraps of paper, to a complete design. Absolutely sold on the neutral hues of Cloth's gorgeous fabrics with a hint of green here and there. There will be defiantly a punch of this season’s yellow also…
